Hanif Kureishi

Hanif Kureishi (b. 1954) is a British author and screenwriter of Pakistani descent.

Many of Kureishi's works can be classified as post-colonial, and often focus on the experience of belonging to a minority ethnicity, religion or culture in the UK. His most famous novel, The Buddha of Suburbia (1990), is a clear example of this theme.
