Lock

The main character of “Loose Change” by Andrea Levy is the female narrator who is a middle-class woman living in London. She is a third-generation immigrant, but this does not make her sympathise with Laylor.

Laylor is another important character in the story. She is a young girl who has recently fled Uzbekistan with her brother. The two of them are almost out of money and sleep on the street. Laylor kindly gives the narrator some of her money.
